Happy Holidays to all,

**The good folks at Shuffle Function got me interested in Daniel Johnston; the film about his life, The Devil and Daniel Johnston, is really worth a look.

Happy Holidays to all

Hey Folks,

Last week's show played again this week (a computer problem that might, just might, have been my fault!). See last week's entry for the playlist.

I was in San Anotonio for a few days and caught some great music at an authentic Texas place called Casbeers. If you're ever down there, visit the Riverwalk but be sure to get over to Casbeers as well. What a place!

I saw Alejandro Escovedo on Friday night...one of the best shows I've ever seen. Next week's program will feature only songs from Escovedo...

Have a great Thanksgiving,

October 29, 2006

Hi Folks,

I'm posting this after the Indigo Girls show on the 30th. A nice show...they played for a couple hours doing a whole bunch of old and new stuff. Really is too bad these kind of things get so little support here in town. Maybe 600 people or so...I can't imagine these numbers will keep bands like the Indigo Girls coming to town. Unfortunate. Do consider checking out Leo Kotkke on the 16th of November down at the Civic Center.

The playlist for the 29th...

1) Old Crow Medicine Show; Wagon Wheel; Old Crow Medicine Show

I was up in Northern Wisconsin over the 4th and heard an excellent interview with Pete Seeger. The interview came from Democracy Now and was aired by a great community radio station, WOJB

It's a full hour giving the kind of history and context Springsteen should have provided in his new work.

April 16th

Hey Folks,

KMSU experienced some odd (and fairly rare) technological difficulty during our Easter show. The darn show got cut off halfway through. We'll be back on the air on the 23rd with some good new music--gonna play a few songs from a fairly new Billy Joe Shaver tribute cd and a few cuts from a not so new W. Jennings tribute. I'll have some requested Phil Ochs as well.

Sorry for the problems with the Easter show...

Dave
